TPA Professional Development, Leadership & Team-Building Conference

This conference is tailored toward pharmacists in their first ten years of practice, as well as student pharmacists, who are interested in enhancing their leadership abilities. TPA Geriatric and Long-Term Care Conference
August 27-28, 2014 • 15 Contact Hours • Franklin, Tennessee
This meeting will provide pharmacists with necessary up-to-date information and resources regarding care and therapy for geriatric pharmacy practice. A broad range of clinical topics will be covered, including the latest information on prevention, management, and treatment for a wide array of patient care topics in the aging population.
Delivering MTM Services—APhA Certificate Training Program
August 29, 2014 • 21 Contact Hours (8 Live / 13 Home Study) • Franklin, Tennessee
This interactive-learning certifi cate training program uses theoretical patient cases based on actual practice concepts from MTM providers and allows pharmacists and student pharmacists to gain experience in the provision of MTM through a variety of methods. Participants will learn how to conduct a complete medication review and identify medication-related problems, build a successful MTM practice, communicate more effectively with patients to encourage behavioral change, document and bill for care and services, and most importantly, to improve their patients’ medication therapy and increase their quality of life.
