TPA Releases New Practice-Based Resource: PBM Laws

TPA has released “Pharmacy Benefits Manager (PBM) Laws,” the latest in a series of Practice-Based Resources exclusively for members.
We are pleased to release a “Pharmacy Benefits Manager (PBM) Laws” resource exclusively for TPA members! This is the third in a series of pharmacy-specific, member-focused practice-based resources designed to help you provide a broader range of services to patients and protect and expand your pharmacy practice. TPA continues to advocate for increased transparency and accountability for PBMs at the state level. These enacted laws ensure that pharmacies can maintain a level playing field with respect to the practices of PBMs. Ongoing state advocacy efforts include protections for patient access to pharmacist-provided care, pharmacy audit restrictions, increased transparency and accountability for pharmacy payments from PBMs, and other essential laws available on TPA’s new members-only Pharmacy Benefits Manager (PBM) Laws resource page. In June, we launched our practice-based resource series with Collaborative Pharmacy Practice and Statewide Naloxone Collaborative Pharmacy Practice resources. Going forward, we will be posting at least one new practice-based resource each month, so be sure to look for email highlighting additional resource pages in the coming weeks. Since most of TPA’s practice-based resources are a members-only benefit, you’ll need to log in to your TPA account to access them. If you need login help, would like to comment on a resource page, or have a suggestion for a new resource, please contact TPA!
