The Tennessee Society of Health-System Pharmacists (TSHP) is extending this open call to all TSHP members to submit their names for consideration to serve on 2021 standing and ad hoc committees. Please carefully read the service and eligibility requirements before submitting an application. |

ad hoc TSHP Committees:
An ad hoc committee is formed as the need arises, to address specific issues within the profession. The length of an ad hoc committee charter is limited to the time needed to complete a particular task.

Standing TSHP Committees:
AWARDS
Submit an application for the TSHP Awards Committee
TSHP’s Awards Committee shall assess the need for awards, develop criteria for each award, seek sponsorship for awards, solicit nominations, and select the recipients for each award. The addition or deletion of awards requires approval of the Executive Committee.
MEMBERSHIP
Submit an application for the TSHP Membership Committee
TSHP’s Membership Committee shall obtain the names of nonmembers eligible for membership, and invite and encourage them to join TSHP. It shall determine the eligibility and category of membership.
NOMINATIONS
Submit an application for the TSHP Nominations Committee
TSHP’s Nominations Committee shall consist of at least three active members, two of whom shall be Past Presidents of TSHP. Duties shall be as defined in Chapter II, Articles II and VII of the TSHP By-Laws.
PROGRAMMING AND EDUCATION
Submit an application for the TSHP Programming and Education Committee
TSHP’s Programming and Education Committee shall develop educational programming for the TSHP Winter Meeting and the TSHP Educational Track at the TPA Summer Meeting. Further charges of the committee:
- In conjunction with TPA, develop programming for the TSHP Winter Meeting.
- Solicit and ensure high-quality presenters that match well with the developed program for the TSHP Winter Meeting.
- Provide formal recommendations to the TSHP Executive Committee on TSHP Winter Meeting Programming and Speakers.
- In conjunction with TPA, develop programming for the TSHP Summer Meeting Track.
- Solicit and ensure high-quality presenters that match well with the developed program for the TSHP Summer Meeting Track.
- Provide formal recommendations to the TSHP Executive Committee on TSHP Summer Meeting Track Programming and Speakers.
RESIDENCY
Submit an application for the TSHP Residency Committee
The Residency Committee shall promote the need for residency training and advocate for residency program expansion state-wide. The Committee shall ensure educational programming with respect to residency program development; recruitment; preceptor and resident development; as well as student preparation to enter residency programs.
STRATEGIC PLANNING
Submit an application for the TSHP Strategic Planning Committee
TSHP’s Strategic Planning Committee shall be responsible for working with the Executive Committee to develop and assess TSHP long-range goals.

TSHP’s ad hoc Directors of Pharmacy Committee shall provide a forum for statewide collegial exchange of ideas and problem solving among Directors of Pharmacy in pharmacy leadership.
